It would be cool to use the Ring chime for doorbells as a siren for the alarm system. This can amplify the alarm even if it is not that loud. Better yet with the 2nd generation chime pro it can flash its nightlight while it emits a siren like sound.

I think it would be helpful if a user had the option to choose their Ring Chime and Ring Chime Pro as items that can alert when a door/window is opened and be able to customize when these alerts are heard (Disarmed/Home/Away) along with volume and more.

It would be super convenient if the chime could be configured to make the sound when a door windows open with the ring alarm. Additionally the sound of arming and disarming that normally comes from the base could come from the chime

Hi @user42058. You cannot disable the light around the button. We have this Feature Request [post](https://community.ring.com/t/disable-white-led-ring-on-hardwired-doorbell/99097/11) where other neighbors have requested the same feature. Feel free to comment there and vote on it as well.
