So I was able to hard reset my unit by holding the orange button down for 20 sec. After the reset I was able to connect my device to the home network.

I have been having the same issue. When I try to connect my ring to our home wifi, it cannot complete the setup. Router has been reset multiple times. Issue only started 2 days ago. Using 2nd gen ring.
