AU Ring low voltage power plug adapter

I have a video doorbell (original version) that I want to hardwire using the Ring Doorbell plug adaptor for Australia [https://au-en.ring.com/products/plug-in-adapter](https://au-en.ring.com/products/plug-in-adapter). Do I still require the wire wound resistor to be installed with this particular adapter also as I will not be incorporating a doorbell into the system. The instructions on the box don’t show one however other wiring diagrams using a 8 - 24v low powered AC plug pack say a wire wound resistor is required.. it’s confusing. Thanks.

Hey @Bungara. For our Ring Plug In Adapter, you do not need to have to install a wire round resistor with it. For a step by step instruction, you can follow our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000081706-Installing-Your-Ring-Plug-in-Adapter-to-Your-Video-Doorbell-Pro), which will explain how to do it for the Pro (with some extra steps you won't have to worry about), but it'll be the same for the Ring Video Doorbell!
