Ring Video Doorbell
Accuracy of doorbell camera signal strength
I have the Ring battery doorbell pro and chime pro. I moved my chime pro around to various outlets to test the wifi signal strength at various locations. The location that I settled on shows a chime RSSI of -39. When I placed the chime pro at this current location, my battery doobell pro showed a RSSI of -56. But later, I noticed that signal strength decreased to RSSI -59. Then, later I noticed that it had decreased further to RSSI -63. It is now reading RSSI -67. The chime pro has not changed locations and continues to show an RSSI of -39. When I used my android signal analyzer, the signal analyzer shows a higher signal strength at my front door than Ring's device health shows. I am wondering whether anyone else has seen a discrepancy between what an analyzer shows and what device health shows. I also do not understand the continual degrading of the signal strength with no changes having been made.

Hi @user_350e4d. Make sure you have changed your Battery Doorbell Pro's connection to your Chime Pro. Otherwise, it will still be using your wifi router's direct signal. I'd also recommend performing a reboot on the Doorbell using the reboot option on the Device Health page. If this issue persists, I'd recommend reaching out to our support team at one of the numbers here, or on Facebook @Ring.
