Spotlight Cam Pro - Motion-activated lights not working
The motion-activated lights are not working, when the motion detection is disabled on my Spotlight Cam Pro. Motion-activated lights option is enabled and I have tried to disable/enable - after reboot. I don’t know if that is just how it works or something is wrong? I have disabled motion detection in disarmed mode, because it is linked to the motion alert (which makes no sense) and I don’t want motion alert for this camera (and a lot of my other cameras in disarmed), but I do want them to record on motion and I want them to turn on the light on motion. Ring should really integrate the motion alerts as an separate option for the different modes - it would solve a lot of my issues. But I see the “Feature Request Board” ticket for that is 4 years old. Seems like such a no brainer and no that difficult to fix. Seems my options are: (1) Get motion alerts for everything in all modes. And have lights and recordings. (2) Get no motion alerts, no lights or recordings. But then why even bother having a camera? Makes no sense. I know the schedule options is available - but I can’t plan exactly when I’m home and when I leave. But I do however change my mode, when I go to bed or leave my home. Such a no brainer - shame that it has not been integrated yet. Embarrassment for Ring that it has not been suggested 4 years ago. Just bought and installed Ring equipment for around $XXXX - I have regrets.
