Ring spotlight cam showing low battery when fully charged

Bought a ring spotlight cam, with additional battery, that’s been working fine. I took out the batteries to charge them for the first time, charged them until it was a solid green light. When I put the batteries back in, the app is showing that the batteries are at 2% and 3%. I tried reinstalling the app, no change. Is there a fix for this as I now can’t use it?
