Ring Floodlight Hardwired Plus - Issues with Camera Corner being blocked
I recently received a replacement for my Ring Floodlight camera (2nd generation). They sent me a Ring Floodlight Hardwired Plus. All is installed and working well. There is one minor issue that bothers me and I am not sure if this is normal or not. On the top side of the camera picture it appears that both corners are darker. Nothing is causing interference on the outside. Please see the attached picture. Is this normal?

I will try to contact Ring again. But I am concerned that the next camera will have the same issue. It is like the lens inside the camera is picking up the inside covering. I can put my hand in front of the lens and the corners still look like the picture above. I have rebooted it a number of times. I truly think it is a hardware flaw in these cameras.

CHi @mpoffo. I double checked with my team on this and they confirmed for me that the very slight shadow you're seeing on the corners is normal. The camera and lens on the Floodlight Cam Wired Plus are slightly different than the original Floodlight Cam, which is why you did not see this with your original Floodlight Cam. I hope this helps clear things up, and I apologize for any confusion. :)

MHi Caitlyn, If this is normal then I am very disappointed. Perhaps it does not bother some but this was a downgrade for me from my original camera. I truly feel that ring needs to re-evaluate this issue and correct the issue. When I talked with Ring Support on the phone I was told this was not normal. There seem to be mixed messages about this issue. When I called last time to get a new, new replacement I talked with a supervisor who seemed to confirm they were getting a lot of calls about this issue. Ring made it right though so I am thankful for that. They ended up sending me the Pro model which does not have this issue.

Oh good call out! I just installed mine and I do have it too. Guess due to the extreme wide angle it is natural to have vignetting at the corners. I'll live with it as I've adjusted my view to what I want to monitor.

Hi @mpoffo. I would try a [reboot of the Camera from the Ring app](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-How-to-Reboot-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-from-the-Ring-App-) as well to see if that helps. If you have tried that step and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support. Our support team will be able to take a deeper look into your reoccurring concern.
