Ring floodlight cams - lights stopped working

So I have a Ring floodlight cam installed over my garage, and it stopped working after Halloween. When I go outside and manually try to turn on the lights I hear the click from the unit and the LEDs glow very dimly. Any ideas? My unit was purchased in Sept 2018 so I'm sure it's out of warranty.

Hey @Raybo2019! Try performing a reset by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. Once complete, please set up the Floodlight Cam from scratch, in the app. If this does not resolve your concerns, please reach out to our support team, at 800-656-1918, for more in-depth troubleshooting.

Thanks for the reply. We’re in the middle of a winter storm so I probably won’t get up there on my ladder til Thursday. I’ll let you know if the reset helps.

OK, didn't work (I didn't expect it to). I think the LEDs are shot. Disappointing after only 15 months of usage.

If you have the Protect Plus Plan with Ring, replacement should be covered. Call Ring support.

My floodlights stopped working but camera still records, had them for almost 3 years. However we had a lightning storm that caused a major electrical surge in our home, pretty sure that's what caused our issue. Disappointing to hear that just the floodlights can't be replaced. I will be sure from now on to look at any product I buy that is on LED and doesn't physically had a bulb in it to replace. We had two unit that were affected, out a lot of money to replace two units just for floodlight issue while cameras still work!! Very disappointed, learned the hard way. Beware to all who buy built-in LED products, if power goes out abruptly, like from a lightning storm, LED could be damaged and can't be replaced without buying whole new unit.

Hey neighbors! Check out our [Help Center article](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004155866-Controlling-the-Floodlights-and-Light-Settings-on-Your-Floodlight-Cam) for tips on controlling the lights for your Floodlight Camera. Adjust the motion settings and checking for environmental factors that might be triggering the lights is a great step. Please also consider if you have a light switch or dimmer switch controlling the power to the Floodlight Camera, and ensure there is no one flipped the switch or any obstructions hitting it. If this concern persists despite trying the above, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406). If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.
