Mounting Outdoor Stick Up Cam to a Glass Window

I living in a Condo and my HOA will not allow me to mount the Ring Outdoor Stick Up Cam to the building. I can mount it to a window just above where I wanted to mount it to the building. Has anyone ever mount a cam to a glass window? I believe I would need to clean the area on the glass well and maybe wipe it with rubbing alcohol, then find a good weather resistant double sided tape to affix to the mounting plate and the glass. I would like to see if anyone else has done this and if it has been provide a strong hold. Thank you.
