Motion notification vs recording

I have a plug in Spot Light Cam and a Flood Light Cam. I have set up a detection zone for the areas I want notifications about, but I also want it to record anytime it sees motion, but only notify me if the motion is in the zone. Is there anyway to do this, or is it all motion is recorded and notified, or only the motion zone is recorded and notified.
