Can I Cover the Red Light on Floodlight Camera?
Greetings! I have 2 floodlight cameras that have done an excellent job for several years. At night I notice a very small red light that glows when the cameras are not recording and the floodlights are not on - they may also shine red during the day (the hummingbirds are frequent visitors to one of the devices), but it's not apparent in the bright sunlight. Google research seems to indicate these have something to do with the infrared sensor/detector, but I don't know for sure. Depending on what they actually are or do, covering them may not be advisable. But if it's possible, without decreasing/disabling their function, a piece of electrical tape will solve the problem of their visibility in the dark. If anyone has information regarding if these red lights can be covered, I'd very much appreciate hearing it.

Hi @user_6744f1. The red lights are indeed the infrared lights. Covering them will impact the night vision, likely making the view at night worse. You could try to cover the infrared lights with electrical tape, as this can be easily removed if you do not like how it affects the view.
