Ring Security Cameras
Camera preview unavailable
I have 2 ring stick up cams. Both Gen 3. 1 works fine, 2nd one used but quit. I've reset it, removed and re-added, changed my wifi to 2.4g and while it says it's connected, I can't get a live view. Other camera still working fine. Upon resetting this 2nd one, it says it's updating but doesn't seem to complete I guess. I've even tried a 3rd camera, same issue. RSSI - 40, battery 98%, says connected. If I click on Live View, blue light comes on but goes off and says it can't connect. Using an Android Samsung phone for the app. WIFI is Starlink. That isn't a problem because 1st camera is working fine.

Your 2nd and 3rd Ring cams likely have a stuck firmware update or network issue. Try this: Plug in the cam (not just battery) and leave it near the router for 1 hour to finish updating. Reinstall the Ring app, reboot your phone, and allow all permissions. Use Ring’s web portal (ring.com/account) to test Live View. Check Starlink settings – enable UPnP or use Bypass Mode to https://www-ipass.com avoid CGNAT issues. If still stuck, contact Ring support — they may need to push the update remotely.
