Replaced Base Station - Now Must Pay Subscription Fee
Hello, Trying to determine if there are any steps I can take to resolve. I have had my Ring alarm since XXXX. In June, my base station bricked itself for no clear reason. Upon contacting Ring, I was advised I must buy a new station. I purchased the base station through Ring that same day. The issue is: Prior to June, I have always been self-monitoring and have been happy with that. I could still use certain app features. Now, I'm advised that since I bought a new base station, I must pay a subscription in order to disarm / arm and get alerts through the app. Is there any path forward in which Ring can restore my previous app features without paying a fee?

Hi @qp1212. At this time, a compatible Ring Protect plan is required for digital arming/disarming and push notifications from the Ring Alarm security system. If you don't have a plan, you won't have access to these features.
