Screen Mirroring & Video Player issues on iPads and iPhones
There’s two issues that I’ve been experiencing, that hasn’t been addressed or fixed since I’ve joined Ring. Issue #1: Display Auto-Lock enables while Screen Mirroring Whenever I Screen Mirror while watching Events or using the Live Feed, my iPads and iPhones go into Auto-Lock mode as if the Ring app, isn’t currently playing a video or live streaming. My screens dim and Auto-Locks at the desired timeout setting when using the Ring app and Screen Mirror. Issue #2: Video Player’s “progress bar” stops disappearing automatically and permanently stays on-screen When watching Events in Full Screen Mode on my iPads and iPhones, the video player’s progress bar, stops disappearing automatically and permanently stays on-screen whenever I skip forward or backwards to another video. Both issues, have been happening since I’ve joined Ring and I’ve had several Apple devices since then, and the app has ALWAYS behaved the same no matter the Apple device.

It seems as if the auto locking issue on Apple devices while screen mirroring, has been resolved. The only issue that I’m concerned about now, is audio output. When screen mirroring the Live Feed from Apple devices to a television, the audio is outputted from the Apple device instead of outputting to the television.

Hi @ISpyWithMyLittleCamEye. Thank you for bringing up these concerns. I have reached out to my team and the issue with the media bar not disappearing automatically is being looked into. As for screen mirroring, this was tested and no issues where found with the phone auto locking. Are you still having the same concern?
