Ring App
Ring App always opens with Neighbors - how do I stop this?
Everytime I open the Ring app it takes me to the Neighbors screen for my area. This is annoying since if I'm opening the app I want to see my doorbell camera first. Am I missing a setting somewhere?

This is the problem with Ring. Why isn't "Caitlyn_Ring" reporting this to the Ring Product Team? Why isn't the Product Owner or Director of Product not consistently reading the feedback we as a community have brought forward. Neighbors = a CHEAP RIP OFF of NextDoor dot com and NEIGHBORS CENSORS EVERYTHING!!! OP - Not only do I have the same problem... Many of us experienced the.... Live video from the very expensive cameras Ring sells only works on your phone and not a web browswer. I had to go to Reddit and raise a stink there and Ring to get it fixed. Then miraculously... many people started reporting that Ring started to turn on the web browser feeds back on. This is what Ring has become... a complete rip-off and not worth our time.

FTypical_User - What OS version of the Ring app are you using? Depending on which OS version of the Ring app you are using (as well as the exact cause of your particular problem), the information listed below may (or may not) help you. For example, if you’re using the iPadOS version of the Ring app (or perhaps, the IOS version), it’s very easy to reproduce the symptom described by the OP. It’s also very easy to fix the problem once you realize what’s causing it. It has to do with the difference between switching out of an app (but leaving it in memory), versus switching out of an app (and removing it from memory). I realize that Apple says that you can leave apps running in the background (instead of closing them), but this is one example where using that strategy will cause problems. To CAUSE the problem: * Launch the Ring app * In the Ring app, use one of the following methods to launch the Neighbors app: * Select the Neighbors menu choice from the Ring app Settings menu or * Select the Neighbors tile * While viewing the Neighbors app screen, switch out of the Neighbors app (while leaving the Ring app running in memory in the background) * If you launch the Ring app again, the Neighbors app will be displayed (instead of the Ring app). This could obviously be a real problem if a user was woken out of a sound sleep because their Ring alarm system was triggered and they didn’t know why the Neighbors app was displayed. To FIX the problem (Solution #1): * In the Neighbors app, return to the Ring app by selecting the “

Hey neighbors, make sure your Ring app and your phone's software are fully updated for the best performance. You can read more about mobile device compatibility with the Ring app [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/4812209807124-Mobile-Device-Compatibility-and-the-Ring-App). If you're still experiencing issues with the Ring app opening to the Neighbors app, please follow up with our support team so they can investigate this further.

Hi @mgd. Have you downloaded both the Ring App and the Neighbors App? If you have both downloaded, you'll want to make sure you're opening the Ring App rather than the Neighbors App. Try uninstalling the Ring App, restarting your phone to clear the cache, and reinstalling the Ring App. This typically resolves concerns like the one you're experiencing. If it doesn't, can you please share a screen recording showing what happens when you first launch the Ring App so that I can have my team take a look? When attaching this video, you will need to compress the MP4 file into a ZIP file, as ZIP files can be attached to your reply and not MP4s. In addition, you can upload this video elsewhere, such as YouTube, and then share the link to the video in your reply. :)
