Moving Bird's Eye view

troubleshooting

Hope I can describe this clearly. Just installed a Ring Doorbell Pro. Having trouble with Bird's eye View. Imagine looking down on my house. I can see the porch and house. I know, DUH. when I select my doorbell in the Ring app and select Motion Settings, I can see my porch, house and Bird's eye zone. My problem is the zone covers my roof, but NOT my porch. How do I move the zone to cover my porch?

Hi @requiredusername. Would you mind sending a screenshot of what you're seeing with the Bird's Eye View, so I can see what you're seeing on your end? Make sure any personally identifying information, such as your address, is blocked out.

@requiredusername Thanks for sharing. If you want to edit your Bird's Eye Zones, you can do so by following the steps below in the Ring app: 1. Tap the menu icon ☰ in the top left corner 2. Tap **Devices** 3. Tap your device 4. Tap **3D Motion Settings** 5. Tap **Edit Zones** 6. Adjust a zone by tapping it and dragging the circles to customize. 7. Tap **Done,** then **Save** This should allow you to adjust the zone so it's covering the correct area. Additionally, you can confirm the correct placement for your Doorbell under **3D Motion Settings** > **Bird's Eye Zones** > **Detection Location**. If you need any further assistance with your settings, please follow up with our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus).

@requiredusername In the screenshot you shared initially, there is a **Bird's Eye Zones** option under the Zones header. Tapping on that should provide you with more options, such as the **Detection Location** so you can edit that placement. If you don't see that option, or are unable to edit your Bird's Eye Zones, our [support team](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) can assist further.
