Birdseye view stopped displaying

troubleshooting

The 3d motion birds eye view worked great for months and just stopped working for no apparent reason on both of my Flood light cams. I went through the 3d motion setup twice on one of my cams and during the setup I can see the birds eye motion during the test but after setup I never get and 3d birds eye "Overlay box" its gone. I have googled and searched and tried everything I can think of. Its like its turned off but in Motions settings 3D detection is on. and Birds eye view is set to show on timeline.

HI @user4451. To confirm, you have the Floodlight Cam Wired Pro, correct? Have you tried taking your Floodlight Cam through a completely new setup in the Ring App? If not, I'd give that a try by holding down the setup button for at least 20 seconds. After the reset is complete, you'll set the Floodlight Cam back up in the Ring App, and it should have you set the 3D Motion Detection settings back up as well.

Hello.   Yes, it’s a floodlight cam wired pro. When I press and hold the setup button, the following occurs: Blue light on the front starts blinking within 10-15 seconds.  I release and then nothing happens in the app.   If I press and hold the light blinks, and I keep holding, the blue light turns off.  Release.  Nothing happens in the app. If I press and hold, the blue light blinks, then it stop blinking.  But if I continue to hold the button, we approach 20 seconds and the blue light blinks again, the lightbulbs on the floodlight flash once. And then the device goes offline in my app.   The only way to reconnect it is shut off power at the electrical box, wait a few minutes and then turn it back on.  Then a white light is blinking and I’m able to reconnect it to WiFi. At no point, in all of these scenarios, am I prompted to set up anything except the last scenario where I have to initiate  reconnecting it to my WiFi.

@user_0e165d Following the steps under Set Up a Device in the Ring app is how you would complete a new setup of the Floodlight Cam, it wouldn't be automatically prompted. It may be better if you contact our support team directly to take a closer look at this issue, as we can't view any account or device details here on the Ring Community. You can reach out @Ring on Facebook, X, and Instagram, or at one of the numbers here.
