Android App plays Motion Detected sound when doorbell is rung
I have the Android app on my Samsung S8. Most of the time when the doorbell is rung, I hear the sound for Motion Detected, even though my phone shows the "Someone is at the door" notification. I occasionally hear the actual doorbell sound, so I know it's properly configured. I'm guessing it's trying to do both sounds at once and only one is winning. Anyone know how to fix this?

Mine does this too and so does many others. It seems to be because it's already currently alerting and recording from motion detection that it then ignores the doorbell alert. The doorbell alert should take priority.

Hi @KCBaltz. I'd suggest uninstalling the Ring App, restarting your phone completely to clear the cache, and reinstalling the Ring App. After that, try testing out the notification sounds by going up to your Doorbell and ringing it to see if the notifications play properly on your phone. If this continues to persist, please follow up with our support team so they can take a closer look at your device and account in order to figure this out.
