Maximum number of extenders?

Is there a maximum number of extenders that can be used with the Ring System? I’ve seen several posts about a max of 3 chaining together, but assuming I have my base station in the center of the house and needing to reach my “remotest” devices on either end of my home, can you have 6 - 3 going in one direction and 3 going in the other direction? Or- is it just a total of 3 -period?

I don’t understand why there would be a maximum number of Extenders. Perhaps its a maximum of three “extensions” rather than Extenders. It’s my understanding it’s just another device. So as long as you are not extending the range more than three times, I don’t see why you cannot increase the number of Extenders. Perhaps buy one from Amazon. That way if it won’t connect you can return it?
