Ring Security Cameras
Wired cam showing low battery
My WIRED stick up cam that was delivered without a battery is now showing 0% battery and disabled the camera saying to charge the battery. I called Ring and the customer service agent was totally rude and continued to tell m e that I didn’t know what camera I had. First he told me I had a battery operated camera, then he told me it was solar. I do not have a battery or solar. My cam is plugged in! I finally hung up on this CLOWN. I am not by the camera so I cannot troubleshoot, but does anyone know what’s going on? In the past when there was a power issue, the cam would just say it’s offline and when power was restored it came back. Why is it continuing to tell me my battery is low and disabling my cam?

@Tom_Ring He said he did that already! Problem is there's poor training or outsourcing to foreign countries where English is not their first language. They need to stop doing that it just pisses customers off more. Active listening for tech support should be second nature. It isn't when you focused on translation then tech. Lastly they focus on active listening.

Hi @James1578. In the Device Health section of the Ring app, you should be able to see the power source option. When setting up the Stick-Up Camera, there is an menu where you select the power type. Try setting up the camera again and select a different power option. I hope this helps!
