Hello @VonMuenchen , All your Alarm sensors are battery powered an do not use the Wi-Fi frequency. The sensors communication to your Alarm Base Station with Z-Wave frequency. In the **Z-Wave frequency band, different countries' laws permit different Z-Wave specific-frequency usage** , so that's why trying to use an Base Station designed for use in one country may be different in another country, and also why Alarm sensors and Base Stations are not interchangeable. If you take your U.S. version Ring Alarm system with you to Germany, your current U.S. sensors should still communicate with your U.S. Base Station, but you might be violating laws or cause interference with Z-Wave equipment if that country uses the specific frequency for some other purpose (military, etc). Also, your cellular back-up SIM card in the Alarm Base Station would present a problem. Also note that the Ring Alarm system for Europe is still the 1st Generation. The estimated date for the 2nd Generation Alarm system is coming soon, but no date has been announced yet. In the U.S. normally all 1st Generation and 2nd Generation Alarm Sensors, Base Stations, Keypads, and other Ring equipment that interfaces with the Base Station are all compatible with each other.
