Wired doorbell pro does not work with mechanical chime
I just replaced my 1st Gen ring with a wired doorbell pro and it’s not working properly. The mechanical chime will not stop triggering. I wired the new one identically to my original 1st Gen. Even tried using the pro power kit, it made no difference. I verified that the new ring is setup to use a mechanical chime. 24vac transformer, the ring shows good power and wifi Any ideas?

Hi @X-lr8. First, make sure the chime kit you have is listed as compatible with the Wired Doorbell Pro. We have a compatibility list here. The transformer on the doorbell circuit must be XXXX VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz, and the Pro Power Kit should be properly installed to ensure the Doorbell Pro is receiving sufficient power. It’s also important to check the In-home Chime Kit settings under Device Settings in the Ring app. Verify the correct chime type is selected. Lastly, I’d recommend inspecting the wiring and the chime kit for any damage. If the issue persists after all the above, the next step is to get in touch with our support team to look into this further.

Returned the wired doorbell pro and replaced it with a battery doorbell pro and now my chime works just like it did with my first Gen ring doorbell. Using a Rittenhouse 631 632 chime.
