View doorbell needs a subscription

I got my View Doorbell on Amazon Prime day a few years back, which I purchased with a spare battery so I wouldn’t have down time while it’s on charge. It works very well with the subscription. I live on a moderately busy street with people and cars passing my front door on their way to the beach, without the subscription it was recording motion ever time something went past my front door, which meant the battery didn’t last two days.
