Hi @user32445. I'd recommend checking if the Doorbell ring is registered in the Ring app under the Event History. This would determine if the Doorbell ring is not being registered at all, or if it's an intermittent notification problem. Additionally, verify that the Doorbell is receiving a strong signal by checking the [RSSI](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Understanding-RSSI-and-Wifi-Signal-Strength) on the Device Health page.

Hi @user32445. I'm happy to chime in here. You can try [rebooting your Video Doorbell from the Ring app](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/7438395032980-How-to-Reboot-your-Ring-Doorbell-or-Security-Camera-from-the-Ring-App-) to see if that helps. Also, try rebooting your router by unplugging it for 10 seconds and plugging it back in. If you have tried these steps and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406) for further assistance. If you are outside of the US, please visit [here ](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-gb/articles/213608406)to see how to contact support.

Does rebooting the doorbell in the app mean i have to set up the device again and reconnect it to wifi?

@user32445 When you reboot your Doorbell from the Ring app, you do not have to do another setup. Your Doorbell will reconnect to your WiFi automatically. 🙂

Ok one other thing ive noticed recently is that the sound quality of the recordings and live view are terrible and crackly, my rssi is good and green and my wifi connection is good ,its been raining really bad here ,could the rain have got into the device and be causing the problem ?
