Video Doorbell (2nd Gen) not charging from solar panel; shows up as "hardwired"
I have installed a 2nd Gen video doorbell with a fully charged battery and connected it to a solar panel recommended for use with this doorbell on Amazon. The solar panel is in a location that gets plenty of continuous sunlight. When the sun is shining, the device health status says that the power source is "Hardwired" and the green battery icon with the lightning bolt inside of it appears on the main status screen. This at first led me to believe it was recharging the battery, but I have found that I need to manually recharge the doorbell about once a month, so I'm guessing something is wrong with the set-up. I own several other Ring devices connected to solar panels, and they show up differently in the mobile app. For solar status they say "Connected" when the sun is out, and the power icon that shows is the green battery icon with the lightning bolt that also has the an outline of the sun behind it. So my doorbell is behaving differently than all the other devices. What is the best way to troubleshoot this? Has anyone in the community either had this problem and solved it OR is there a way to get live Ring support to walk through the steps to fix it? Thanks!

Hi @user_43c2af. Try factory resetting your Doorbell by pressing and holding the setup button on it for 20 seconds and then reconnecting it to your Wi-Fi. If you have tried this step and are still having the same concern, give our support team a call for further assistance. https://ring.com/support/contact-us/call?hasLangChanged=true
