To setup up deactivated wired doorbell
troubleshooting

Hello there, I had issues with my ring-wired video doorbell and was trying to setup the device again. It was not working so I deactivated the device, but not remove it (now I can't remove it, not seeing the option). I enter in setup mode and everything works well until I connect to the ring wifi and then connect the doorbell in my wifi. After that it seems to enter in loop and get back to connect the ring wifi again and it can't and I need to abort the setup. Any ideas?  I am wondering if the deactivated device can't be activated again without removing the device from my account. Anyway, I cannot see the option for remove it.  Thanks drv

Hi @RobertoDariva. After you deactivate a device, you would need to set it back up in the Ring app to use it or fully remove it from your account. Make sure the doorbell is properly powered and in range of your wifi router. You can also reset the doorbell by holding down the setup button for 20 seconds. Once the reset is complete, attempt the setup process again in the Ring app. We have troubleshooting steps to address common errors during setup. If this issue still persists, our support team can take a closer look. You can get in touch at one of the numbers here, or on Facebook @Ring by sending a private message.
