  Good question @Flowerchild! The Peephole Cam is intended to be mounted securely and flat against your door. At this time there is no hardware or accessories that can be placed between the door and Peephole Cam assembly. You might fight interest in our [Peephole Cam Package View Faceplate](https://shop.ring.com/products/package-view-faceplate-for-peephole-cam), however. This will allow you to see outwards as normal, but also watch packages placed at your door. I hope this helps! :)

  Yes, I am well aware of the design intentions of the peephole doorbell. I did try the plastic piece but returned it. It left me with a great view of the ceiling. And an even smaller view of the main area. This is a design flaw which should be corrected. Thanks.

  Sorry to hear about that experience, @Flowerchild. The Peephole Cam lens' 90 degree vertical field of view is symmetrical, which means it should capture both floor and ceiling. As entryways vary this can change based on factors such as dimensions of door, doorway, ceiling and floor. If your Peephole Cam image does not seem to be reasonably straight and outward facing, please check the mounting assembly on both ends, including the tube fed through the peephole, just to ensure they are not angled or tightened in a fashion that might hinder this sight. If you have a level measuring tool available, this is a great way ensure the mounting and area is level.   As previously stated I am aware of how the Peephole Ring is designed and how it is to be mounted. I am also adept at simple mounting methods. The issue I am describing is one that has been a flaw since this model was introduced. It is simply a design flaw that should be fixed.
