Ring Video Doorbell
Terrible warranty support. Alarm is only as good as its warranty.
My Wired Ring Pro DoorBell stopped Connecting to the wifi after 6 months. No notice nothing. I Realized after a 3 weeks that it was down. Spent almost 2 hrs on the phone with support on 7/25/2024 after I had already went through all the troubleshooting myself and knew it was bad. Tech confirmed and placed an order for a replacement doorbell and followed up with an email that a replacement would be shipped out. Called back on 8/6/2024 and spent over an hour just to get an explanation why I haven't seen a replacement doorbell yet. The rep told me they have no inventory and it would be at least 2-3 more weeks before it would ship but could not promise even that. I said there is plenty of stock on Amazon where I ordered it from and I can have one tomorrow. "Sir those are new units and you are out of the 30 day replacement period so now you have to wait in line until a refurbished unit is available and we have a a large backorder". So I requested to speak with a supervisor. Supervisor finally got it approved that she could ship me a new unit from stock and not have to wait. 6 days later still no doorbell and Ring has sent an email requesting I send the failed unit back, which I am still using for a doorbell. Called 8/12/2024. 30 min. later rep tells me I have 4-7 more days before it will ship. I will be selling or trashing the Ring alarm system once I get the replacement doorbell.
