Ring wired doorbell not getting enough power.
Hi, I have the wired version and it has been installed for about a year and working fine. Now, it keeps showing as not connected on the app and the blue light around the doorbell has about a 1/4 of it blinking and rotates around over time. The router shows the ring as being connected. I have not changed anything with the wiring. Any ideas on what the issue is? TIA

Depending on your ring camera you want to have between 16 to 24 volts at your doorbell, you can easily check with a volt meter. Sometimes over time i have seen those wires get brittle, partially cracked even.

Thanks for the suggestions. I just checked it with a volt meter and its getting 20v. Does it have an internal battery that may need to be replaced?

Hi @user_5b8a2c. Checking the output with a volt meter was a good step to try. Can you clarify which specific Ring Doorbell model you have? The device name (Video Doorbell 2, Video Doorbell Wired, etc.) will be listed on the Device Health page, or on the back of the doorbell itself.

Hi @user_5b8a2c. Have you checked the power at the Doorbell to make sure it is still sufficient?
