Ring Video Doorbell
Ring Pro Video Doorbell DELAY in ringing mechanical doorbell
Just got my Ring Pro Video Doorbell up and running. Why does the following happen? 1) When the ring light around the button is off (dark) and the button is pressed, the Ring Pro device emits a sound immediately, BUT there is a delay of 3-5 seconds between pressing the button and the mechanical doorbell actually ringing. 2) When the ring light around the button is on and spinning, the Ring Pro device does NOT emit a sound, and the mechanical doorbell rings immediately. I want the mechanical doorbell to ring immediately EVERY time it is pressed. Is there a setting adjustment I can make?

So no news on this? The idea that this is attributable to thin or corroded wires is laughable for a technology company.

I'm having this issue, as well. I've checked all wiring, connections, and WiFi strength. This is a fairly new home (8 yrs old). I'll get the notice on my phone immediately, but the mechanical doorbell sometimes doesn't ring until minutes later and by then the delivery truck is long gone. I believe someone mentioned already that this delay is exclusively with the initial activation. A second activation results in an immediate mechanical ring.

Ok, there are over 300 homes in new development and they all have this issue, even Alexa announces someone is at the door before it rings.

I have the exact same issue. The house is eight years old. I have a ring pro hard wired so it's not due to low battery. In the device health it says I have good transformer voltage and signal strength. Why does it delay the signal to the physical doorbell? Mine sometimes is a full minute after the button push.

I am having this exact same issue. There is absolutely no excuse for delays to a hardwired doorbell. This is lazy, poor design work. It doesn't make the device less usable, but it makes it feel very low quality.
