Ring doorbell prob doesnt ring on chimes all the time.

I have the ringdoor pro bell that is set up on my chime. I have it set up for motion and when the doorbell is pressed. However doorbell press is very intermittent. For example when someone walks towards and presses the bell, the chime will alert the motion but not the doorbell press. I then miss people at my front door, defeating the object of this doorbell. my doorbell is at 49 chime is at 59 both in green so good signal

    Hi @Wheeler. This question was actually addressed in a similar thread on the Community which you can find [here](https://community.ring.com/t5/Accessories/Ring-Chime-ringing-on-motion-detected-but-no-alerts-on-doorbell/m-p/68565#M2646). When events overlap like the motion and the Doorbell ring, the Chime cannot alert to both at the same time. Some neighbors have found success with disabling the Chime alert for motion so that they only receive an alert when someone rings the Doorbell. I hope that helps clarify things for you! :)

      I have the same issue I believe: if the Doorbell is activated by motion detection, and then the button is pressed, the button press is ignored. Note that I’m not only talking about the Chime not ringing, I don’t get any notification and there is no event recorded in the event history. Also note that

      Hi @Himork. If you're not receiving push notifications when the Doorbell button is pressed and it's not showing up in the Event History, that is a different concern as these events should always show up in the Event History.     We have exactly the same problem. Detects motion everytimne but only rings when pressed about one time out of three or four. What is incredible is that so many people continure to buy these products that clearly don't work. There must thousands of complaints just on this site.

      It used to work just fine, it started about a month ago, I suspect after all the new "features" were added. I'll give a call to the support phone line...
