Ring Doorbell Pro has power but not lighting up

troubleshooting

Hi All A bit of a strange one... I had an older model Ring Doorbell, I have recently upgraded it to the Ring Pro 2 (hardwired), this is the second Pro 2 I have tried and both are giving me the same issue which suggests it is not a faulty door bell. I have managed to wire it up and get it connected, the only issue is the White Ring light was not spinning, infact no lights appeared at all. It did go through the motions and connected without any issues though. So it is receiving power, it is now connected to my Wifi and working as it should on the app. The only thing it is not doing is lighting up. This is the hardwired, via the main transformer (not plug in) the only thing I have not done is update the main transformer, I am using the original one from previous model (Grey in colour) the new one is Black but the power appears to be the same. Any ideas why the bell itself is NOT lighting up?

Hi @Adrianwalsh76. This might sound like an odd question, but how is the lighting when you are looking at the Ring Pro 2? The LED light on the Ring Pro 2 isn't overly bright. If there is sunlight on it, it may look like there is no light at all. Is the LED light viewable at night, with no outside lights on? If not, you can contact our support team to resolve this for you. I installed a new modem/wifi and finally got my Ring 2 door bell to connect but after going into set up I do not have any LEDs light up around the button. They do go in a circle when entering set up. Door bell is working and connected. Is hard wired. Battery is charged.

Hi @Reddodger. If your Doorbell is hardwired, the LED ring around the Doorbell button should be illuminated. I would check your Device Health to see the Doorbells status and ensure that your hardwired connections are secure.
