Has anyone tried replacing their existing garage switch opener in thier garage with a ring doorbell? Would the wiring work like a hardwired doorbell?

Hi @Ceboom. We don't recommend trying to replace the switch for your garage door opener with a Ring Doorbell. Ring Doorbells are designed to be installed with an existing doorbell circuit and compatible transformer, not a garage door opener, so it is unlikely it will work correctly. If you don't have an existing doorbell circuit, you can also review our [battery-powered Doorbells](https://ring.com/collections/doorbell-cameras) which may be a better fit for you. :)
