Ring Doorbell data usage skyrocketed after replacing battery

After recharging the battery a few days ago and re-installing it in the Ring Doorbell unit, I received a message from my ISP advising that 90% of my monthly data for March has already been used. Today is only the 7th. I've disabled pretty much everything at this point on the Ring app. Anyone have a problem with heavy data usage after replacing battery? I checked the device settings and they appeared to be the same. Where did I go wrong? data usage this month is already more than 3X what it is for a normal month.
