Ring doorbell 2 not detecting any motion

Just hardwired my doorbell with diode as instructed because I have a digital bell. The doorbell worked as it should for the first 5 min. It motion detected, recorded and rang when pushed the button. Now it does not motion detect at all. For the past year I only had it running off the battery. It worked just fine on battery alone. Any tips please to fixing this? I reset with battery, I checked wiring and checked the setting for motion detecting
