Remove doorbell camera

I have just removed my doorbell camera and followed the instructions set out by Ring. The very last step "Tap deactivate device" never came up. As soon as i tapped on remove device the device icon vanished from my phone along with the view from the device. Now there is a white circling light on the doorbell cam and occasionally it plays a sound. Is the device deleted from my account and if so why did i not get the option to "deactivate device" If it's not deactivated then how do i deactivate it ? Thanks in advance to anyone offering advice.
