Remote gate access control

I am about to order a Ring Video Doorbell Elite that will be installed on a personnel door at the roadside and which is remote from the house. I also want to be able to control the door lock but I do not want to install the alarm system. Ring indicate that EVENTUALLY the non alarm products will be able to integrate with and control a door lock but until then I am looking for a solution that enables me to control the door lock both locally (house) and remotely (via the web) and which does not cost too much. I would be prepared to spend more if ring would confirm which locks will eventually work but they say they do not have that information at the moment. Has anyone found a suitable low cost solution? If so, could you post it here? TIA Geoff
