Problems connecting a hard-wired doorbell to the internet

I recently changed my modem. My Ring doorbell, 1st generation, keeps telling me to press the button in the back to connect to the internet. I cannot press the button in the back because the device is connected to the door and hard-wired. What a design flaw! Is there any work around cause all I have now is a basic doorbell.

Hi @user197268. As a security feature, the Setup Button is only accessible by removing the security screw and lifting the device off of its mounting bracket. I hope this helps.
