I have a ring doorbell I just installed. is there a way to stop or prevent motion detection for family members? Every time one of us goes in or out the front door I get an alert. It’s getting annoying.

In short, no. That's kinda the point of the doorbell.

Hi there, @Don_Juan! While you cannot disable your alerts for specific people, you can use [Motion Scheduling](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/218380863-Scheduling-Times-When-You-Don-t-Want-to-Receive-Motion-Alerts-) to schedule times when you do not want to receive alerts. There is also use [Motion Snooze](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360000047206-How-to-Use-Motion-Snooze-and-Global-Snooze) for a more on demand snoozing of alerts. I recommend checking out the [Geofence features](https://community.ring.com/t/ring-app-update-geofence-with-auto-snooze-and-arm-disarm-reminders/38495) as well, as this can auto-snooze alerts for some time when you return home. I hope this helps! :)
