i have burnt out 3 power supplies on my Ring door bell. i have checked for short all ok untill i install door bell to base . i am also using diode between terminals . anyone have any ideas ?
If you are connecting Ring doorbell directly to a ~24vac transformer you need a 50 watt/ 25 ohm resistor. One wire will go directly to one doorbell screw and the other in series with the resistor. Pitch the diode. [https://shop.ring.com/products/wirewound-resistor](https://shop.ring.com/products/wirewound-resistor)
