No drill mount installation

Ok I'm totally confused. I just received the no drill mount the instructions say once the mount is in place to screw the doorbell into the mount. This is impossible as the holes don't line up. I called support and they said oh no it just attaches magnetically. It does not. Once I put the mount up as advised the magnet is on the back side of the mount and the doorbell does not fit or adhere to the mount. The articles on ring.com don't address this. thanks
