Need help with installation

Hello, my son had the ring on his phone, he recently deleted it so I can use it on my phone. I got the bell to ring, and it rings on the chime in the house but it won’t ring on my phone also no sound when someone is by the door.Any help would be appreciated. I am not tech savvyNot sure I will find this againThanx
