My fresh out of the box doorbell will only work with movement within 2 feet

Trying to figure out why my doorbell only picks me up within 2 feet. My neighbor has the exact same angle, model doorbell and he picks up movement all the way to the curb. He even went through my app settings, to match his. It made no difference. I've already disconnected it, rescanned and reset it. I'm out of options. Can this be a faulty device?

Hi @user_020910. Which model of Ring Doorbell did you purchase? The model name should be listed on the original packaging, and on the Device Health page in the Ring app. Approximately how high from the ground is your Ring Doorbell installed? Do you have the Smart Alerts enabled?
