Hi all, I have just ordered my first Ring product - the Ring 4 doorbell. Please can someone advise if this has to be hard-wired in, or can it be used without any hard-wiring? I have no existing doorbell, so was hoping I could avoid any hard-wiring Thanks

Just use the battery installed in the device or you could buy a plug in adapter.

Hi @Steve1974. As @user8749 mentioned, the Video Doorbell 4 is a battery powered Doorbell, so you do not need any existing doorbell wiring in order to use it. You can find instructions on how to install your Video Doorbell 4 without an existing doorbell in our Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360059099752-How-to-Physically-Install-Your-Ring-Video-Doorbell-4-Without-an-Existing-Doorbell). I hope this helps! :)
