Motion Alerts Unreliable
hardwired-battery-video-doorbell

After looking through 10 pages of threads I gave up and started my own. My motion detect is rubbish. Firstly its should record people approaching the doorbell and so should have a video of them ringing teh doorbell. It appearsthat when ever the doorbell is rang the approach video is not saved. Everytime. I think thsi is a coding oversight in the app. It needs to record a motion video and a ring video. I have the motion zone record my drive so I know if someone is tampering with my car. Two days ago I didnt park on my drive. The lady who lives across the street didnt apply her handbrake properly and the car rolled down the street scraping mine, crashing into my wheelie bins (on my drive) and over some wood and came to a standstill on my drive. Ring caught NONE of it. AT ALL. It still caught cars driving past my house though. Today, my 6 year old unlocked the front door and left the house on his own. It recorded him leaving but not returning. he walked out onto the street. The video ends. he then walked back and opened the door which the door bell is attacehd to and came in - NO VIDEO. This ring doorbell 2 is such a let down its unreal. Ima lready sick of the constant battery swaps, the failed notificatiosn for battery change are now even more annoying but most of all its the delay. the MASSIVE delay in teh recording starting and notifications. I have a chime AND a chime pro too. And now no support. No numbers to call and device troubleshooting not available in live chat.
