Lens cover ages prematurely with proper use

Lens covers age with proper use in just 2-3 years. Granted some cameras are placed in areas more susceptible to precipitation and sun thank others. Still cover should be more durable plastic, maybe glass or easily replaceable. Just spent time on RING chat and they proposed new purchase at a discount. I have many of these devices at my properties providing plenty of revenue to RING as a consumer. Shouldn’t we have some actionable solution rather than repurchase every couple years when we use product within reasonable conditions? Sanding, buffing, which impacts UV resistance, should not be the solution for 2-3 year product. Light bulbs last longer.
