How can I make the doorbell chime every time the button is pressed?

I recently installed a Ring Doorbell Pro to my existing mechanical doorbell chime using the existing wiring and the included power pack. I don't have any issues with amount of power and the doorbell doesn't have any issues with WiFi or anything like that. My current issue is that I expect my Ring Doorbell Pro to ring the inside mechanical doorbell chime every time the doorbell button is pressed because that's what a doorbell should do. Currently it seems to have 2 requirements to ring 1. It has to sense motion prior to ringing the mechanical chime. If it fails to detect motion prior to the button being pressed, the internal chime won't go off. 2. It will only ring a single time per motion event and continuing to press the doorbell button will not ring the chime any more times until the motion event ends. Does anyone know if this is the doorbell "working as intended" due to software settings, electrical limitations, etc and has anyone figured out how to go about fixing this so it rings every time the button is pressed? Right now there's just not enough "dumb" redundancy for me in this smart device. If I miss hearing the initial chime due to whatever reason (WiFi is out so only the chime goes off instead of all devices, I'm in the backyard, or literally any reason), I want the redundancy built in so that the person at my front door can keep pressing the button and expect something to ring.

Update: My understanding that motion is required appears to be incorrect. I have been able to make the indoor chime go off without any identified motion. The single ring and then delay before another ring can happen is still true.

Hi @user33639. When you ring your Doorbell and the chime is activated, you will have to wait for the first ding to finish before the chime can be activated again. As we value our neighbors' feedback, we've created a [Feature Request board](https://community.ring.com/c/products/feature-request-board/24). Feel free to add this as a feature that needs to be changed, as well as any future feature requests. This will help us organize and share your requests with our teams here, as well as allow other neighbors to comment and add interest, all in one place. Feel free to link that post you made in the Feature Request board here so other neighbors who come to this thread can easily find your feature!
