My ring door bell is hardwired and my app is saying the battery needs charging please can someone help many thanks

    Hi @user9951. If your Video Doorbell is hardwired but the battery is draining, it could be for a few reasons. You do want to make sure your Video Doorbell is still reporting hardwired in the [Device Health](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/115001757766-Understanding-Your-Ring-Device-s-Device-Health-Page) section. If it is not hardwired, it most likely has to do with the power at the wires going to the Video Doorbell, and you will have to verify there is still power at the wires. If you are not comfortable with hardwiring, you will need to consult a qualified electrician. If it is showing as hardwired but the battery is still draining, this Help Center article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/204252980-Charging-your-Ring-Video-Doorbell-battery-with-hardwiring) will give you steps to look into.
