Front doorbell & garden camera going offline in early hours
connectivity
battery-video-doorbell
troubleshooting
Hi, in the last couple of weeks my front doorbell & garden camera have started going offline in the early hours, often coming back online around 6am. Nothing has changed from when I set it up, including the wifi which is always a strong signal for both pieces of equipment. I’ve reset both but the problem persists. Any advice or help would be much appreciated as it’s proving extremely frustrating. Thanks!

Hi @mbaxter81. It's definitely a good call to verify that the Doorbell and Camera are receiving a [strong wifi signal](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/217271526-Checking-Wifi-Signal-Strength). I'd recommend reviewing your router's settings to see if there's any sort of automatic reboot or restart set for early in the morning. If you have a dual-band router where the 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share a network name and password, you could create a guest network utilizing only the 2.4GHz network for the Doorbell and Camera to connect to, as this can provide a farther effective range and more stable connection. Lastly, check that the [ports and protocols](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/205385394-The-Protocols-and-Ports-Used-by-Ring-Devices) used by Ring devices are open on your router. If this concern persists, please give our support team a call at one of the numbers available [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/213608406#callus) for further assistance.
