I've ordered a Ring hardwired doorbell (the cheapest option so first gen I guess). I have a Friedland Type 4 doorbell at the minute. Will I need to change the transformer? TIA!

Hi @user12311. Did you order the [Ring Video Doorbell Wired](https://ring.com/products/video-doorbell-wired)? For the Video Doorbell Wired, your transformer will need to be 10-24 VAC, 40VA max, 50/60Hz, or 24VDC, 0.5A, 12W. If you know where your transformer is located in your home, you can check to make sure it meets these power requirements. You can also find the installation instructions for the Doorbell Wired in our Help Center Article [here](https://support.ring.com/hc/en-us/articles/360054984332-Installing-Ring-Video-Doorbell-Wired). I hope this helps! :)
